Do more with your web project

If your website is already structurally sound and performing properly on tablets and smartphones as well as desktops, you may be keen to build on it. Here are a few ideas:

  • reduce the load on your office by adding wizards to your website
  • add a shopping basket, booking system or course manager
  • consider email newsletters - it's as well to have something useful to say and careful targeting is mandatory if you don't want to end up in spam bins
  • add a foreign language - be warned, your back office may need someone fluent in that language
  • commission some video and link it to your site
  • make use of web fonts to bring your website closer to your organisation's style
  • include Google or Bing maps if appropriate
  • add text content like articles, white papers or specialist areas
  • qualify sales leads online through the use of web forms

Clearly what you do will depend a lot on the nature of your business and the resources that you have to support it.
